Patriot Guard Riders Mission Statement

Our main mission is to attend the funeral services of fallen American heroes as invited guests of the family.

Each mission we undertake has two basic objectives:

  • Show our sincere respect for our fallen heroes, their families, and their communities.

  • Shield the mourning family and their friends from interruptions created by any protestor or group of protestors.

We accomplish the latter through strictly legal and non-violent means.

To those of you who are currently serving and fighting for the freedoms of others, at home and abroad, please know that we are backing you. We honor and support you with every mission we carry out, and we are praying for a safe return home for all.

How to become a member of the Patriot Guard Riders

We receive questions about how someone can become a member of the Patriot Guard Riders. To become a member one should register on the National PGR web site. It is very simple to register, but sometimes people have difficulty finding the link on the National PGR web site.
  • To make it easier for anyone who wants to join, just click on this link:
http://www.patriotguard.org/Home/tabid/53/ctl/Register/Default.aspx

Once registration is completed on the National PGR web site go to the Kentucky Forums page to see what is going on, or has gone on with the PGR, in Kentucky.
  • This link will take you directly to the Kentucky Forums page:
http://www.patriotguard.org/ALLForums/tabid/61/view/topics/forumid/84/Default.aspx

On the Kentucky Forums page one will see, "New Members check in here." Please go into that forum and post a message to let us know you've joined. Usually new members see follow-up posts from existing members welcoming them to the PGR, and most often a new member will also receive a personal message from the Kentucky Captains. Even if you've been a member for a while but haven't posted in the New Members forum go there now to let everyone know about you. Yes, even if you've already attended PGR missions please do that if you haven't done it before.
  • One can go directly to the New Members Forum by clicking this link:
http://www.patriotguard.org/ALLForums/tabid/61/forumid/84/postid/247335/view/topic/Default.aspx

We hope this makes the process of joining the Patriot Guard Riders an easier task and helps you to let other Kentucky members know you've joined. It also should prove to be very helpful to new members to read the Kentucky Forums. There is a lot of helpful information for new members, and even veteran members, in some of those forums.

PGRKY.ORG Web Site Purpose

PGR members in Kentucky had expressed concern that they often have problems finding and tracking mission itinerary information on the nationally affiliated Patriot Guard Riders web site.

The PGRKY.org web site was developed to make finding information concerning PGR missions in Kentucky much easier for our members and others who are interested in supporting those we honor.

The PGRKY.org Contact form allows one to update contact information that the PGR Kentucky leaders will use to keep those who register updated on short notice or special missions in their immediate area and updated on events of interest throughout the state.

The PGRKY.org web site will soon have links to completed Kentucky mission photos on the nationally affiliated web site, http://www.patriotguard.org.

There also are occasional news items of interest to PGR members in Kentucky posted on the Announcements page.

We encourage you to visit the PGRKY.org web site often.
